Any managers risky but I do agree Neville is a higher risk then most. IMO he's a top defence coach & I prefer a good defence over a good attack (Plus he's not stupid when talking about attack either)
I think Neville would be a good risk same as Sunderland with Di Canio, if it works how you think then you've got one hell of a manager at your club.Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes

I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!Comment

i'm not sure we'll be in such a luxurious position next year. we need to have some attacking threat next season. over the summer remy will be picked up elsewhere, mackie will probably find his way to a prem-level team, dj, bothroyd and hulse are all out of contract and probably wouldn't renew even if anyone offered them contracts. that'll leave us with just zamora and aj - both ageing and both injury-prone. i wouldn't think we could rely on hoilett or swp to turn in match-winning performances week after week... so if taarabt hangs around, it'd make sense to me to build around him rather than tell him to sling his hook. beggars, choosers and all that.Comment

A decent response and opinions seem to be divided however I still think that we should go for a younger man as I fear that we are caught in the recycling of tried and trusted yet getting near to their sell by date managers.... I reckon that some new energy and vigour is what's needed personally.... Not suggesting that we don't have an experienced coach on the staff but think Harry has had his chips....
I reckon that Shaun Derry will one day make a very good manager.. Not saying we should take a risk but could probably do a lot worse.... Derry with Warnock overseeing....? Stranger things have happened...

Would stick with HR, but I would tell him straight you either see out the full season with us or you leave now. He will take us back up first time round IMO. He was on a losing battle from the start, regardless of how depressed everyone is we've played some good stuff under Harry, but human error from players and officials has cost us ultimately, not HR's tactics.
He is still a big enough name to attract the bigger/better players that are available to championship clubs, and he has definitely got the eye for the right player IMOComment

Same is said for every manager but somewhere along the lines clubs need to create chances for people. Mr Mourinho, Wenger, Slur Alex etc had to manage a team for the first time. Fact is we're basically a Championship club so nows a perfect chance to create imo a person who will be a top manager.

Our D1ckhead fans will not give a manager a chance though, we have some of the worst fans in England, especially on here. If we got KR for instance and we didnt win first 5 loads on here would want him outSame is said for every manager but somewhere along the lines clubs need to create chances for people.
