They are in form but so are we. We have Ronnie. We can win any game. That’s not to say we will win this one but we will always have a chance. A draw looks likely. Anybody got feedback on last nights injuries?
We'll have to be far slicker and more dialed-in. There were a lot of wayward passes and loose touches from us that Derby didn't have the wherewithal to capitalise on. I'm not being churlish after a comfy win, I'm coming at it with the point of view we could be scarily good IF we take care of the ball and keep our work neat and precise.
If we don't self-destruct or offer them some gifts I think we can take 3pts. 0-2 away win.
I watched Birmingham against Preston on Tuesday , difficult to assess them as Preston were so poor defensively.
Birmingham were very physical and bullied Preston all over the pitch with Klara the giant CB being given special licence to go through the back of the Preston forwards.
Kamara for me is one of the big reasons we’ve started the season brightly but looked jaded last night, I hope Stéphan makes some changes with Kolli, Kamara and Vale on the bench with Poku, Varane and JCS coming in as replacements.
It will be the same starters then, unless Kone starts.
They'll have an extra days rest and are a home, so the players will have to dig in and maybe slow the game down in the first half. A draw will be a great result, but hopefully we'll nick it.
My last visit to Diamonds Pool Bar in Los Cristianos before Pete closes up.
We have a match day squad capable of beating them. Most of those injured players mentioned above are always injured and cannot be relied upon so it's pointless moaning about their absence or suggesting we are impaired by their absence - I'm sure Brum will have several injured players in their roster too. Just roll our sleeves up and get after them. The mantra should be about talking ourselves UP, not whining or making excuses. They are nothing special and we are well capable of turning them over.
The bottom line is it is completely incongruous to hope for promotion, or talk about promotion, and then have a wet lettuce mentality before individual games. Believe. Believe every time we step on the pitch. We get promotion by winning games.
I heard Stéphan say in his post match against Derby he expected Lamptey to miss 2 games with a rolled ankle injury.
Obikwu was warming the subs bench against WHU so I suspect he’s not injured.
Saw an interview with 3rd choice Keeper Matteo Salamon today where he spoke about the challenges of learning from Pierce Charles and referenced Kaddy Dembele being actively involved in first team group training.

Totally agree . Deal with what it is with what we’ve got and let’s keep a top six mentality all season . We don’t need to win every game but let’s assume we will. We are no longer an easy 3 points so mental attitude massively important which l feel we’ve been a bit short of in the past. Let’s get at em!!!!
We are always mentioning the missing players, however, we have a fully fit defender always sitting on the bench without ever giving some time on the pitch. Case in point was our last game against Derby. At 4-0 Liam Morrison should had be the one coming on instead of the patched Mbengue which we all know how it ended. What is the problem with Liam?

I think the next three games are really hard and it would be great to draw them all. One win and one draw would be a really good result. Lets hope for performances like against the Hammers and we will be alright. If only we had Burrell with his lightning pace on the break- Lamptey in there too and we would be well suited to hit teams on the break. Kone is too slow sadly. Smyth has been the best player for a few weeks though.
