While promotion, play-off qualification, and division survival are of paramount importance when these are up for grabs, I do wish that players were given a greater sense of appreciation of the importance of team v team head-to-head statistics. Unfortunately, this is a cross to be carried more by the supporters it seems rather than the players because we're here for the long term whereas the players are itinerant and so may be less inclined to care about that. Well, some of us have probably noticed that the league double achieved over us by Millwall is a carbon copy results wise of the same from two or three seasons ago. In fact Millwall especially recently seem to have become another Norwich, Nottm Forest etc "bogey team". There is no such thing as 'nothing to play for' in my book. The more "bogey" teams we create, the worse things will get in the league as the other teams will always expect to beat us, and our lot will have an informal day off because, "well, this club never wins against them anyway."

Swansea are only one point behind us in the table, with Championship top scorer (Zan Vipotnik) in their ranks so they will be up for it to overtake us (or at least he will). Better not let him know then that we are joint second in the table for most goals conceded in the Championship this season equal with Leicester and with only Sheff Wed worse. I can just see our defence melting away like butter on hot toast ....

I can't proffer a scoreline (I don't dare after my last effort) but I do hope we'll turn up because securing this guy's tally will give Swansea something to turn up for.
