Lord
That is very much glass half empty, Burrell missed 2 good chances, an offside goal that on any day COULD have been given, Dembele hitting the post.
Saying losing 7-1 was not a blip are you expecting more ???

I don't think it was anything more than luck that we won that.
Wrexham could have easily won it too with a bit of luck.
Ball cut us through the middle and their guy flashed it past the post.
Another couple of close finishes just missed when they attacked the open end.
And Burrells touch forward when he scored was atrocious, that was more a goalie #### up for backing off so far as a more sweeper keeper mindset and that would have been his to collect.
Charlton and Wrexham both not great, but also didn't have any luck it seems rather than us great.
But luck is sometimes all you need to get a run going and confidence up so doesn't mean it's not the start of something good. Just not sure that 7-1 was really a blip as both teams with a bit of luck could have spanked us.Leave a comment:

I find wls ratings usually pick on the usual suspects irrespective of how they played.Leave a comment:

Strangely, I’d say it is more a reflection of how crap Wrexham were.Leave a comment:

Wasn't able to watch the game yesterday and just seen that WLS have rated Nardi, RND, Morrison, Varane and Madsen with a 6/10. This suggests to me that the defensive side of things is still very suspect - or, are those ratings a little harsh? I'd expect a couple of 6s in most games but not half the team in a 3-1 win. For those that did see/go to the game, are those ratings in the ball park?Leave a comment:

It was a sort of hybrid model we used yesterday. So for the last 2 games we have hardly played out from the back, and guess what ,we score 3 goals in 2 successive games.1st half excellent all over, second we sat back to deep.Good to have a decent striker or 2 now,Kone what a strike and Burrell what pace..Well done to the manager and coaches for changing the way we play,2/3 years of shite football. Was not rocket science though,we all knew it
When we did play out from the back, it was only when it made sense and not just for the hell of it.
Nardi in goal gave the defense a sense of confidence, that we haven't seen consistently for a while.
Burrells pace up top and ability to run on to long balls caused a lot of issues to Wrexham.
Kones composure and knowing where the goal is, is so refreshing.
I know it's still early days, and there were times we left their players unmarked in our box, and on another day, with better finishing, it could have been a lot closer.
Agree about the togetherness of the team, the celebrations at FT gave me goosebumps

Just look at the third goal.....no way would that "long pass" have happened under Marti. It would also have had the Ainsworth hatters shouting "hoof".
We have pace in our side so give these lads something to run onto.Leave a comment:

Great win and loved the way the team celebrated at the end, particularly Kone. Looks like a close knit group of players now. Wrexham were poor enough but we beat them well and a lot of their fans admitted as much after, saying we destroyed them in the middle of the pitch. We’ve got a decent squad now, moreso than any time over the last couple of yearsLeave a comment:

Great result, but not totally comfortable.
But as long as we out score the opposition I'll go with it.
Would like us a little more secure at the backLeave a comment:

You should start a promotion thread. It can cover top 6 as well and I'd imagine it will remain extant for a good while hopefully too.Leave a comment:
