But being serious now, Coventry was a one-off and before long I'll be forced to open a Play-Off thread where we'll all be discussing our promotion chances!

Yeah, but that won't be until next year, and Div 1 promotion chances.
If we aint up for this after a complete capitulation then we never will be.

We have managed 3 home wins in 2025. Our last home win was Feb 14th. We have not scored more than 1 goal in a home match since mid-March. We have scored 3 goals in total in our last 5 home games..... the stats and current form speak for themselves: we don't score enough goals and don't know how to win games.
It's a new season but team is unfit and not match-ready. Dreadful lack of "legs" and energy in midfield, no creativity anywhere, no pace on the wings and no service to our striker. Rookie keeper and a wobbly defence. A general lack of flow or continuity to our play - main ambition seems to be keeping possession and err on the side of caution.
Got some new faces to bed-in but they will almost certainly be "not quite ready" or simply injured. Unlikely to see any significant personnel changes for Saturday.
A new manager but zero evidence he has galvanised or moulded the team into anything resembling a solid Championship team.
Going into game on the back of an abject spineless no-show at Coventry that's left us in bottom 3.
Meanwhile Charlton have had a sizzling 2025 and come to us for a lunchtime TV game. We all know how getting up early AND being on telly puts the mockers on us.....
It is inconceivable we will win this game. Yes, it's "a funny old game" but c'mon, we are a shambles and a heavy defeat is the most likely outcome. If you offered me a point now I'd rip your arm off.
"The relationship between Sheffield Wednesday supporters and owner Dejphon Chansiri may be fractured, but for Owls boss Henrik Pedersen the "togetherness" of his young players was a source of pride as they produced a Carabao Cup upset against Leeds on Tuesday".
This is something our squad need to show for the backing our Board has shown them! It has to start on Saturday.
Never so dark till just before dawn. We've really got to put it all in on Saturday. No excuses for anybody giving less than 100%. And 3 rushed signings (however much welcomed), should not reduce the pressure on Nourry.
He has been exposed and found wanting. A club like ours, has no room for somebody like Christian in such an important role.
