I think there is a lot of short term memory in there unfortunately. We lost the last few with Beale, then only won 1 in 9 with NC. So we was in a relegation battle before GA arrived. We was about 25 points clear from relegation way before GA was on the scene. We have been on a downward spiral way before GA turned up. We would of been in a dog fight with any manager in charge because the players don't care and the board may as well not even be there. GA kept us up. Plain and simple.

Well we have survived, but there can be no papering over the cracks... Zero shots on target is poor, especially at home, in front of a near full house in what was effectively an exhibition game.Comment

I honestly fear for next season, our remarkable start to this season saved us, we were by far the worst team from about 17 matches in.Comment

How can anyone get worried for next season when we dont know the squad for next season. GA has now seen how weak Amos and Dozzell are.
Give the bloke a chance to build his own team ffs. Save your negativity till at least 5 minutes into the first game.
This is not his team and has been shite with all monagers since the sun went south.

We're playing anti football though, just trying to stop better footballing teams from playing football against us.How can anyone get worried for next season when we dont know the squad for next season. GA has now seen how weak Amos and Dozzell are.

I am actually shocked that people thought Ainsworth was going to be any different , he is a motivator full stop , zero tactical knowledge of how to set a team up to play football.
I said when we got Ainsworth , if we stay up this year we will definately get relegated next year and i stick by that.
Some fans are saying give him time to get his own players in etc but we've got no money , will recieve minimal amounts from sales , so can only see us being a lot worse next season.
It is my belief the owners got Ainsworth thinking it would appease the fans being an ex player but he will take us backwards.
We are doomed as the geezer in Dads Army says.Comment

It's interesting that all fans want to blame the manager, yes 'again'. I actually think it's because none of you have played the game. I really can't emphasize enough that the player we have in the squad just aren't good enough. As I said it other posts we really should only keep 3 players from this massive squad we have. Gareth has a huge job to rebuild and good luck to himI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!Comment

Thank god that's over. Turned off after went 2-0 down today. Seemed to be watching the same game as had been watching all season. Lots of huff and puff but that's about all. We definitely deserved to go down. We were the poorest team by far (over recent months). Where to from here......with or without GA, Heaven only knows.
For sure, tinkering and tweaking those players will see our misery go on. Might be best for all if GA walked away. He helped keep us up and his CV now might look as good right now as it ever will.Comment

What a load of rubbish! With nothing to play for, this was basically our version of relaxed ole football but we still limped to a 0-2 defeat. Thank gawd today wasn't crucial and we needed a point to survive - I suspect we'd have froze and lost 0-6 otherwise.
This season can bleeding well eff off. We now have 3 months until Aug 12th before the sheet-show resumes.Comment

Far too many weak challenges today - a number of players clearly not wanting to be injured before their summer holidays
We have zero attacking force - no understanding and partnership between the front 2, and out inability to test an opposing keeper over 90+ minutes is patheticComment
