4231 works without Charlie being the 1...... Fer having an amazing game. Phillips too. Joey and Kelvin doing what the 2 do in 4231.

Actually playing like a team......players working their a*ses off without the ball.....passing and movement with it, and going forward ........not over yet though, we must keep this up

Yep. I think there's several factors along these lines. Fer doesn't always seem fully 'up for it' - whereas he clearly is tonight and playing in a role he's really much more effective in. Phillips is clearly out to prove himself and so far he's doing a damn good job! Joey is also playing better than he has. And more energy from the defence with Yun and Isla back in the four together.

Need to concentrate though - as we still presented them with a couple of chances a lot of teams would have taken.
