I think you can add all the players to the list of having a poor game. Thought Barton was poor

Austin away from home going forwards deploying these tactics I would not play why risk injuring our main striker away from home when you know before each game hes going to get no chances and be isolated

I know there is a negative pattern in the away performances, but it doesn´t help your chances of winning, when the players throw the ball away at every opportunity. Bet Harry told them to pass like ####.

Players have got to take a look at their contributions i agree.....I've always maintained Harrying, passing tackling are a basic requirement

I said it from the start, Barton didn't have a great game. I will say the cross in the first half was good though.

Lot riding on the Burnley game now. They are playing pretty well by all accounts. Cd be a tougher game than it might have looked a few weeks ago. Three points would be massive and would lift all the gloom on here and probably take us out of the relegation zone.

Think Harrying is the problem Dave.

I'd like to see how Mutch gets on in place of Fer and playing Vargas without Isla ain't working.

I like Niko but he wasn't even trying to close players down in the top half of the pitch. Just going through the motions half chasing them. At the risk of opening a can of worms, if that was Adel there would be carnage on this board tonight...

I'd like to see this as well, I'm not 100% keen on Fer.

Ned was the worst player on the pitch, don't think I've seen him that poor before

We've got the Swans again next month at home, we'll beat them then.

I don't think Swansea is much better than us, well maybe except for upfront. They just wanted it more. I was truly amazed how they were able to close down so much. We didn't get any room at all. After that first half, I fully expected Harry go give it a go. Not like on Saturday, but to make more runs. Even when we went down 1, no response whatsoever. I like a term we use over here for American Football. Harry played a bend-but-don't-break-defense, but we broke into pieces. I can deal with a loss, but it is hard to stomach one like this.

Has it not dawned on people by simply sitting back it allows the home team to just continue attacking and attacking and attacking and throwing people forward. Perhaps if we had a go in the other direction they would throw less bodies forward and we may just have more of a chance as sticking ten men behind the ball is clearly not a good tactic so far this season!!!! lets give the opposition something to think about going in the other direction
But you are acting like we didn't have any chances. Remember, we almost scored at the end of the first half if Fer had headed it away from fabianski. We did have chances, we didn't take them. We had 5 shots and all of them were fairly close to my recollection. On another day, with the way green played, we may have come away with a win or a draw. The result did flatter them. They held possession well but couldn't do much in our final third They only managed 12 key passes in our third and only 2 of those actually mattered and made any difference. It is about balance away from home. Every team knows that. You can't go crazy and attack without having a solid base and when we are playing Karl Henry in cm, there is limited creativity so it is more about getting the occassional set piece and trying to get something out of those.
