So buying a smart TV would do same? Only asking as my nipper stuck his plastic hammer through my 48inch Sony Bravia so I'm on the lookout for a new telly, as much as I love watching telly on my ipad :(

Yep, if you have a smart tv it should give you the ability to do all that anyway so dont waste ya money on one of those android boxes.

why not just connect your laptop to your tv with a hdmi cable. will do the same job

No rubbish boys go on eBay type in android tv box xbmc and there you will see all kinds of boxes for sale it's like Apple TV but better I get sky and everythink no monthly charge I will even come and install it for you
