A very careless and slightly misconstrued challenge. One of those that easily gave the referee the option to show red.
Skewed the whole game really.

Ref could've waved 6 red cards at Cerkin - it was a shocking challenge.

Was never a red card in any game with a decent ref. Not only did he win the ball, he pulled out of the challenge, didn't leave anything in, and the other player hit him.

20 seconds. 1 down. 15 minutes down to 10. 2 down at H/T, how did you think it would go. Crowd went wild when we equalised and team cheered off and the pitch. Superb second half against all odds.

I'm so very proud of the way the 10 men responded in that second half, and also to think that many important squad members were watching it from the operating theatre!

Not sure battered and frenzy would how l describe it l heard a few boos at half time. This is a bottom of the league side and a draw at home not good enough. Apols for disagreeing

So what does ANY home team do in second half when they're 2 goals and 1 man down to a shite team ? I guess the answer is "have a go". So the 2nd half is what I'd expect.

What has pee'd me off in recent games has been the tepid cautious slow toothless approach.

Why can't we play with a "go for it" mindset every game, and particularly at home - it shouldn't take extreme circumstances to coax us out of our shells.

Hopefully that second half will become our template for the next phase of games after the break.

I feel mentally shattered, terrible start 1-0 in 20 seconds, 1 man sent off after 15, 2-0 down at half time, and seemingly the team in tatters.
Bring on the second half !. Totally battered Preston, crowd in a frenzy then Smyth smashed in the equaliser, cue pandemonium in the stands. Totally deserved and we nearly nicked it with the final kick.
Ref and linesman were both a disgrace for 90 minutes, not sure about sending off, will need to watch again.

Have to agree, it was a mad game.
Preston are a team we should be beating but to come out and play the we did in the second half after such a dreadful 1st half was magnificent.

Aso agree about the officials, they were awful. Players were being booked because they (rightly) disagreed with so many decisions. The sending off was the correct decision though.

Game of 2 halves , pne sat back and we came at them ...why he keeps chopping and changing the team I don't know .
Really enjoyed 2nd half as I thought we were going to get done 4 or 5 ....well played to nick a point it felt like a win .
