I cannot believe what I just watched, 91 minutes played. 2-1 up and just hit the bar. Mbengue then assaults a player on the touchline gets sent off and we collapse. Their second was a hammer blow but Walsh decided to gift the second with a pathetic punch to the only player unmarked.
First 30 minutes was excellent, should have scored a couple more and maybe should’ve had a penalty.
Second half more even. last 15 we took over again and I thought 2-1 was enough

Wrexham are fairly basic and probably cannot believe they won.

Vale looked good but for me Madsen MOTM, desperately need players back to strengthen the bench I’m totally pissed off.

Just watched again their first, Walsh again making a feeble attempt to stop it.

Similar Romford can’t account for the pest in mbengue but he’s useless as a rb he’s just fast

Walsh poor punch 2nd goal but credit to him when 1st went in he made a top class stop

Madsen looking like a premier league midfielder can’t believe I’d say it after last season but for me he’s our player of the season to date

Vale did well but inevitable he faded and stayed on 10-15 too long

all in all were pretty much safe but this league this season not that good anyway and most on here could manage us to mid table and if im honest would be able to switch to a plan b

I cannot believe we threw that away - we completely lost the plot - after the sending off we never reset - slow the game down make a substitution- it was like we didn’t bother to put anyone at Right back.

when they equalised we took the kick off and just booted it out - take the ball backwards- string a few passes together but no we put ourselves back under pressure.

i know Mbengue is many people’s villain but he plays on the edge and made a few great blocks and tackles - also not sure the first one was a yellow card.

it would appear that the Wrexham right back could make any number or rugby tackles or wrestling holds in the penalty area and not be penalised but smyth and Mbengues first fouls were carded.

Funny enough it wasn’t a shite performance, first half mainly very good, last 10 minutes took then lead, should have seen the match of relatively easily, then total collapse, hence everyone in total shock.

Couldn't see if Walsh was at fault for any ov the goals from where I sit , but what is he doing keeping Edwards on the bench ...
Madsen was good today , kone slightly better than against Oxford .... Why not put Edwards on for kone when mbengue was sent off .
Disappointed as those 4 mins of extra time we played like school boys

Yep, a much better performance than we've been putting in lately. A real sucker punch to concede two late goals. Not making excuses but I don't think you could really expect to concede two wonder goals in stoppage time.
I was enjoying the game upto that point, which was more than I have done in the league for weeks.
Agree with Shaggys comment about Madsen, he seems to be getting better and better, last season I thought he was woeful.
Gutted tonight, another season of mid table mediocrity looms unfortunately.

So mbengue did what we’d all been expecting sometime. What I found worse was our complete lack of professionalism to quickly get a reorganised set up. We became a complete shambles.

have read that we had used up our 3 transfer windows so couldn't make another but even so the complete lack of reorganisation and inability to see out the last few minutes was shocking

we weren't shitE as some have said in fact we were pretty good in the first half and getting back in front we should have shut the game down.

Yes, JS showed again, how he doesn’t react well (or at all really) in adversity. The horror show of those last 5 minutes………It’s easy to imagine closing the game down so that very little football is played at all. You see it all the time. But we didn’t seem to even try. I despair.

Very harsh comments on JS. If Mbenge didn't have a moment of madness we'd be joint sixth. Our limited budget and lack of experience in key areas isnt down to JS.....hes going the best he can with the players hes been given.

We were rubbish. Barely assaulted their goal - we have to get more proper attempts in than that at home. Midfield was AWOL for 75% of time and we created zilch out wide. An embarrassingly inept and poor performance that might look excusable to some purely due to Wrexham taking about an hour to wake up. We should have filled our boots in the first 30 mins but we were tepid and over-cautious. As for the last several minutes, our manager and senior pros need to take a long hard look at themselves... no professional team should melt and collapse like that, totally brainless and clueless with no direction or leadership on display whatsoever.

During this run-in we will face teams scrapping to go up and scrapping to stay up - we do not appear to be equipped to deal with teams who "want it" more than us. It needs sorting.
