Yes his passing can be wayward, but he brings an energy to midfield we had been lacking for a while and he breaks up play well and trys to keep possesion, he will always try and bring the ball down on his chest and play football rather than aimless give the ball back to the oppo like half our midfield seem to do.

Totally agree about the diving though, I find it cringey & embarassing. As a footballer, though, nowhere near as bad as you have made out there.
So why was his performance a massive improvement last saturday?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Before the last couple of games his distribution was shocking, worse than the others. Good last 2 games though.

Spot on, glad I am not the only one that says what he see's!

However against sunderland, he put in a performance I haven't seen from him in a hoops shirt and I am willing to see how he does against Villa.

He is limited with regards to ability but he seems to have stopped that pathetic diving and I still think he isn't the answer for next season but we did to back him in our remaining games and just HOPE PRAY he shows some consistency which he is crying out for in his game.
I agree that he has been awful, and thats why I said; ''M'bia has finally started to perform the way we wanted when we signed him''.

His main tackling ploy seems to let the player run past then grab hold of him and pull an arm/shirt/neck etc.... Needs to cut that out.

Yes, I thought about weareqpr on my way home last Saturday and wondered what he would have made of Mbia's game. I thought he was excellent. He has had other good games earlier in the season and the best part of his game is his break up play. He seemed to stop trying to make long passes last weekend (which is clearly not his forte) so hopefully he has been told to break up play and lay it off short.

yer thats what i reckon too and it has improved his game and our midfield by keeping it simple. Just worry he is a red card waiting to happen.

Because it was better than before

I never said he had been superb, simply that I disagreed with you calling him "useless", as he isn't.

To be honest, him and Park look solid in Centre-midfield. Just hope this doesn't jinx things.

We've won the last 2 games in case you havn't noticed so why call for someone to be dropped?

Faurlin's better than Derry, Mbia, Park and Granero in my opinion! Dont suppose anyone knwos how he's getting on at Palermo?

I am glad Mbia is in the side ahead of Derry.

He offers more pace, energy, height, strength and is younger.

Yes, I thought that at the Southampton game when he was booked.
