Proper 9s take defenders on and shoot at will and have good upper body strength. He's got it all. Chelsea was Harry's toe in the water. Please god...
I take your point and you may well be right. But Harry played him as a lone striker v Chelsea, and he did keep coming deep for the ball as it's his natural game to look for it.

Sad but we're a better team without Tarbs. If we manage to survive it'll be because he was dropped for a team performance and not because he may produce one piece of magic.

that's been the problem for us all along and why we've been easy to keep out. It depends on the back line you play against - Arsenal lost today because the line was high with not much speed and they were horribly vulnerable to balls played in behind. Against a deep back four then 9 has to link up more, but at least Adel can turn and that is a massive bonus.

I'd be really sad to see him leave the club without properly trying this, the problem of course is that stakes are massive right now. I'd still try it again.

It sounds like you're saying you'd like him played as a striker in a 4-4-2 because you don't see him as a hold up merchant...

He's got the aerial presence of a deep sea diver. No9 is not his position
