Bale only played 8 games in the PL the season before Modric signed. He then played 16 games with Modric in the side, without winning.

And if you think that Spurs team was not a top 6 side, you clearly did not watch PL football in those seasons.

So the 8 games dont count no...

Modric was far from the player he is now in those first few months at Tottenham anyway.

They may have been top 6 but very much average compared to the team they have now.

I agree there is no comparison. Adel has always played in a team surrounded by sh1te, yet people are happy to compare him with players like Bale who have grown up playing in a team full of good players.

You remind me of when I was 8, when I had a sticker album and used to sit there all day worshipping players. Then I grew up and started assessing football with a critical eye.

To you all our players might be great and good enough to play for Barcelona, to me, they aren't. I might love the likes of Derry, it still does not change the fact that as a Premiership footballer, he is sh1te. And the same goes for most of the team, that is why we were near the bottom last season, and that is why we're botton this season.
