The geezer is mustard - worth £10mill of anybodys money (if the crazy world of football money of course).
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Now everyone knows we havent got Rolando and theres 24 hours left- Anzhi can basically hold us to ransom over Samba.

Tal Ben Haim and Hill with no back up for the run in anyone??

M'Bia and Neddy would be ahead of TBH to play centre back - agreed it's not ideal but you've just made it sound worse than reality there

Bit dramatic.... if the worst happened and we signed nobody, we still have Onouha and Mbia who have played a fair chunk of their playing careers at CB and could slot in there, and thne to backfill their current positions, we have Faurlin, Diakite, Fabio, Young.

From the F365 Live Transfer Blog:

We're hearing reports that Chris Samba has gone AWOL from Anzhi's winter training camp as he tries to secure a move to QPR. He must be desperate to return to England.
                              Sounds promising...

Gus Hiddink has apparently revealed that Samba has left Anzhi's training camp yesterday to negotiate a move to an English club believed to be QPR.
