It's all well and good saying take it or leave it, but what if a Norwich or Reading come in and gazzump our bid by £250k.... They would get a proven prem scorer for a very good price and we would be stuck with few options and it could hvae a directly detrimental impact on our seasons outcome ocmpared to theirs.

We know Norwuch are definitely after a striekr having had bids for Hooper and Graham rejected, so i wouldn't be surprised if they went in for Odemwingie given the very public falling out.

What if they do ......norwich won't be offering anywhere near our terms so won't be attractive to PO. I certainly don't want QPR paying over the odds for WBA sub

You have no idea what we're offering in wages. What we do know is he is on £35k / wk at Baggies so why would we then offer loads more than that??? He'd get money from signing on fee and survival bonus, plus nominal increas in weekly wage.

I'm sure the wage Holt got with his increased deal this season would suggest they do pay hefty wages if they feel inclined.

I just said we wouldn't need to pay the all too regularly reported "massive wages" because we know what he's on now. Also Everyone knows Norwich gave Holt a bumper deal to stay after he said he wanted to leave... i didn't suggest i know what it is, only they must be paying him decent prem wages, which i expect are on a par with Odemwingie.

You may be right about bonus's but i think its wages that is attracting him to us and i'm not sure he would be in a rush to go to norwich

Basically saying were buying another player who only wants the money and wont care about the club. Plus saying that he has ballsed up the deal and put the cards in WBA court as they know he is desperate to go so they will sit tight until deadline day and wait for the price to go up as they know we want him which I can see their point.

I would rather we make clear we are willing to pay X amount to WBA and it wont go up tonight, tomorrow or 1030pm on Wednesday night take it or leave it. If WBA want a player on their books who dont want to be there and who the fans have turned against good luck to them.
