He was awful yesterday as he always is. Offered absolutely nothing attacking wise as per usual.

Games like yesterday show his lack of ability up. We had more of the ball yesterday and as a result Mackie had it more often than in PL games. It just meant he lost it more times than he usually does! Running into the full back/Poor touch and zero thought to getting his head up and passing. He offers and creates nothing! He is simply nowhere near good enough for the PL and is debatable if he could cut it in League One after yesterday.

bottom line is we are going to need him for the man city game. we need guys who are going to chase after the ball for 90 minutes. But he shouldn't be in our lineup come February!

Maybe Traore can do a job on one wing, but we definitely need a couple of proper out and out winger, none of this playing strikers out wide, or central midfielders.

                Good post.

SWP works as hard as anyone, so not sure how you can question that. He also has infinitely more ability than Mackie, even though he's been below par for most of his time with us, he's started to come good of later. He also can retain posession far better, interplays with others better, makes intelligent runs and knows when to try and beat a man or 2 and when it's a futile option.

JM didn't have his best game yesterday but we will need him and others like him next season

That's what the Championship is all about

Went on a scoring run early season then did little else.... much like Agyemang did. For me the only difference between the two is that Mackie works harder. The likes of Bothroyd and DJ would be much better striker options than Mackie in the Championships o i thin khis worth is overated. Yes he scored some gfoals the season we went up, but so did Hogan early season before some slated him and Warnock shut him out. The main reasons we went up were Kenny, Adel and Derry for me.

Mackie is a strange one. His feet are too big and his arms are too long. He's like a modern day Perry Groves, able only to run in a straight line. That, along with Rio Ferdinand's horizontal running action and we could have quite a circus act.

I like Mackie, he tries, I know he had a bad game yesterday but didn't most of them?

The reason he is playing is because there is no one else to come in.
