just want to focus on mbia for a moment, he was superb against west ham the other day, even though he was supposed to be a defensive mid he mainly played as a third cb that day throwing himself at every shot and heading away countless corners and crosses. i feel this has been pretty much over looked on this board with most members. with awsome games at cb against arsenal and rb against man u does anyone think that we have now found at least one decent defender?

If we can get a capable CDM in I would have M'Bia at the back no issues. Think he has more defensive talent than going forward and passing. But, we still need another CB. Don't care if it's a child. We need one that is at least able to head a ball and kick it away

He is a very good defender, a great tackler. But everyone had to sit deep against West Ham and I think in games where we can play a bit more he will be better off sitting as a CDM. Unless we get in someone like Capoue then put him as CB for sure

Given that the thread was named after Rolando, it only seemed fitting to put him into a potential squad. with regards to Capoue, stranger things have happened and its not like any other teams are really chasing hi. And finally, suk brings a winning mentality to the squad that traore has never had given that he played for arsenal during their drought. Also its not like those injuries that you stated are permanent so i cant see what is stopping these teams from existing.

Also this will never be the team. Nelsen will definately play, as will Onouha. Traore definately won't play. Hoilett is injured SWP is a doubt. And Remy should be fit to start.
