Hazard could have played it for laughs. Not enough characters in the modern game.

I heard Torres was so annoyed he also tried to kick the ballboy in the tunnel after the game but he missed.

What when they need 2 goals and it's nearing the end of a semi final.... you honestly think he's going to see the funny side of some lardy kid mounting the ball to stop him getting on with the game when in a desperate situation???

If he let the kid get on with it and visibly laughed about it, his own fans behind the incident would have slated hiim no end for not giving a sh1te.

When option is, get into a grappling contest with a child that will be broadcast around the world. I'd pick any option but that one.

When cantona kicked that muppet thug in the crowd he got a 6 month ban regardless of the provocation... Yes the ball boy was an idiot but kicking a member of the oublic would surely merit a similar punishment?

What's the difference between Eden Hazard and Jimmy Savile?

One beats ball boys, the other one beats boys' balls.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I wasn't saying the best option was to do what he did. But it wasn't right to laugh at the situation either. He should've just made it ibvious to the ref what a tw@t the ball boy was being and make sure he'd stopped his watch.

Yes, for me, in ascending order of toolishness, the tools tonight are:
                      • the ball boy
                      • Eden Hazard
                      • Chelsea FC's official Twitter person

I hear what you're saying mate.

Just lamenting the good old days of football I guess. Win at all costs is not what made me love the game. If it was I'd have supported someone other than QPR hah.

https://twitter.com/rioferdy5/status/294202688013492224 Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand: "I'm not the authorities but in my eyes it's a red for all those asking. Us players do put refs in bad spots at times unfortunately!"

https://twitter.com/fizzer18/status/294196726514991105 Everton captain Phil Neville: "You can't kick the ball boy that's not right so I again agree with Chris Foy - red card!"

I know they are not impartial but agree with both of them. Odd situation but you can't do that and he had to go.

                              police now investigating after complaints.
if a fan does that, he's nicked and getting a ban, especially if on live tv!
chelsea are bad losers, there's always fall out...
what if barton had done that???

If the fa follow their past records nothing additional will happen to hazard as the ref dealt with the incident on the night with the red. Wonder how our joey would have been dealt with in similar curcumstances
