Would explain the rumour of Redknapp offering him in part exchange for M'villa, maybe this has been in the pipeline for a few weeks.

he strives forward like Yaya, but when i've seen Diakite play I always thought he's looked clumsey. He makes daft tackles and he's not tactically disciplined

Last season he was great for us, one of our best players in midfield with Derry.

This season though has been disappointing for him and for us, perhaps he can't settle and just wants to go back.

Good bye Diakite and thanks for all your years service to the club.

Nancy put him on the transfer list so he may want to go back but will they have him?

@davidmcintyre76 apparently Diakite is off. Said on twitter he wants to go back to Nancy.

@jp_gk yeah that's been in pipeline for a while. France certainly, not sure about Nancy.

Last season he was outstanding! This season he's been a red cars waiting to happen. I'm glad he's leaving for wage reasons only, he's got huge potential so hope we've got a clause here
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

This season he has barely played so can't really say he's been terrible.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I wouldnt think so, 30k tops for someone like Diakite.

i doubt he is on a high wage mate.

you should cast your net out to the likes of cisse, green, bothroyd(yes, bothroyd),park and bosingwa those few there are costing approx £250.000.00 a week.

We're not in a great shape & IMO need the squad to go down in size. Diakite out & Livermore on loan IMO is great business (only if we've got a big sell on percent on Diakite, as said he could be amazing one day)

Trying to think of his biggest contribution this season. West Ham, when he came on at half time was probably his best but any momentum he had went with that red card.
