Sunderland was not must win it was one that we really needed a clean sheet and avoid defeat. Beat Villa and doubling the seasons points in Harry's first two games is a brilliant start.

Either you are just miserable or you are really bad at maths.

Scoring goals will remain our biggest downfall,Mark Hughes saw to that with his ridiculous decision to only name 3 strikers in his squad and 2 of those injury prone,so Harry has very limited options as a result( until jan),so now we need the midfield to step up and start scoring as Cisse looks knackered as well,A win would raise confidence and under HR we have a chance( of staying up).

No offence to Villa but let's just make them very uncomfortable during the match. We know it's worked before. Non-stop booing when they're on the ball. It's a big game for us supporters. Every little bit helps, we want to stay up.

I'm not miserable and I am actually quite clever, but it was another game we dominated and should have won, but didn't and Sunderland are in a bigger mess than us. If we did not have the monkey on our backs or not winning this season and were confident, Mackie would have scored just before half time and SWP would have scored in the last minute.

You are of course correct, 7 points from three games would be a brilliant start, but 2, 3 or 4 pts from them would not be. According to many on here (myself included) we were going to beat Reading and Southampton...... but we didn't.

Please beat them 3 or 4 nil, we've got Sunderland on Sunday and if we beat them both of us move up.

Whats your thoughts now, as that's now played two and should have won both but because they don't know how to win, didn't. That's why Sunderland was a must win game and the longer the monkey is on their backs, they will find it harder and harder.

Sunderland being beaten again, by Norwich. We couldn't beat Southampton, Reading or Villa either. We have Wigan up next. If we don't beat Wigan the games after them only get harder. What a conundrum.

wonder how many of our "superstars" would get into the Norwich/Villa/Reading/Southampton sides..not many i reckon.

I think a fair few would TBH. They have better team spirit and understading atm. But MH is gone and it will take HR some time to change things. I have seen signs in the last two games that we are getting better. Things can change very quickly for clubs in the PL. Weren't Blackpool top after a while and flying high at Xmas and got relegated? I can't recall exactly but it rings bells.

History is there to be changed.

And Paul - yes, whether it wasd Sunderlnad or Villa, we could have done with 4 points....but I seem to be in the minority that saw good things, despite my bitter dispaointment on Sat.

saw good things...improvement...decent performance..etc etc but still not the 3 points needed. Dont care if we play **** and our players take turns diving for a penalty just as long as we win.
