Although I really rate Simpson, he doesn't strike me as a real prolific striker. Great signing, I'm sure...but where is our version of Chopra, Beckford or Phillips

Jay Simpson doesn't inspire me at all he'll more than likely will score around half a dozen goals in a loan deal until xmas - no doubt he'll show glimpses of talent but he is not what we need. We need a proven CCC striker, heard Newcastle are lining up a £3 million bid for Earnshaw - sort of signing we need to be making IMO.

May only be a reserve match but the kid has lightening pace and great with the ball at his feet.

I agree but right now I think he'll score more because of his pace then anyone else we have at the club. We are creating so many chances and we need someone to get on the end of them and I think Simpson has the potential to do what Campbell did for Hull.
