Helguson has been a goalscorer wherever he has been, so not sure he was a problem either. He has only ever had one decent season, so that does not make him a 'goalscorer', which suggests prolific.

And yes whether anyone likes it or not, many fans wanted Tarrabt forgetting that he played as as striker for us a couple of games last season.

Playing a couple of games up front last season and playing some games in Spurs reserves does not make him a forward.

Spurs two best reserve/kid strikers are already out on loan. Townsend at Orient and Obika (will be a GREAT player) at Yeovil. Can't see 'Arry releasing Pavlyuchenko or Crouch.....which leaves you with Dos Santos who, for Gianni's benefit...

It is a shame IF we have the ambition when we know we've got the finances to bring in someone from the league below - sooner or later we've got to take a punt. All this caution is great for the bank balance but the effect on the pitch is there for all to say i.e. average.

Imo Welbeck or someone of that mould i think would be fantastic!! Knows where the net is, fast, everything we currently dont have up front.

We have target me in agye and HH and pellicori i guess so imo we someone to latch onto there knock ons and knock downs. Were creating alot and getting ourselves in some good positions, we just havent got someone with that bit of magic.
