Warnock has another dig at Hughes

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has taken another swipe at his former club, insisting Mark Hughes is wrong to suggest some of QPR’s problems are down to the previous management.

Warnock, who was replaced by the Welshman at Loftus Road in January, last week declared that Rangers had ‘lost part of their soul’ because of the number of foreign players signed by Hughes.

And in another dig at his successor, Warnock told talkSPORT: “There are quotes coming out sometimes from the current manager and I don’t accept it.

“’We’re trying to get away from last year’ - but I bet they wish they were [in the same position as] last year this time.

“I think people should just look after their own house, put their own house in order.

“I thought we had a great dressing room spirit and you probably have to look at that and think ‘Have they got one now?’”

I don't blame Warnock for still harbouring bitter feelings, besides Hughes has made himself look ridiculous with his own comments so its fair dose of schadenfreude from Warnock in my book.

Warnock did more for us than Hughes, bit hard to bash him at the moment in my book. At the end of the day, history has shown we were probably wrong to let Warnock go and appoint Hughes. Can't blame the guy for having a little dig. Joey Barton is somehow allowed but not Warnock? WTF?

These shows that neither of the two managers were really suitable. They prefer sniping at each other than thinking of the effect this has on the club.

Over reaction? NW did a lot for us...and this time last year we were 9th....under NW. So if MH continues to blame everyone else, expect some of them to say something back.

Sorry, I'm with Warnock on this one. Hughes came out all guns blazing publicly criticising the situation he inherited from Warnock, about the need to turn the club around and give it an overhaul from top to bottom and dismantled a side that came up from the Championship with players, tore up a done deal to sign Jelavic for £4m Warnock had in place and brought in a bloated squad of demotivated playerrs at the wrong end of their careers on mega wages. We have everything from our league position, not a single away win through the absurdity of a 50k a week defender (Onuhua) and goalkeeper on the bench having been instant flops.

In years to come the Hughes era will be text book reading on how not to rip apart the previous template, isolate and move on longer serving players with connection to the club and fans, spend a huge transfer kitty and plunge a club into freefall.

Seems like fair comment to me.

If Hughes is going to mouth off that he's still dealing with problems from Warnock's reign then Neil is surely allowed to reply!

Hughes is a bloody w@nker, its never his fault, even now TF admit to put things wrong.

NW has done bloody miracles at this club which we never should forget with the Orange fat one and the poisoned dwarf in charge.
