    Managerial Options

In the event Hughes does go, who are the options? Before some get the hump about this thread, I just thought it might be worth a debate.

I'll begin with the obvious one, Harry Redknapp. Possibly Alan Curbishley.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

My choice's would be Rafa Benitez or Guardiola, we want someone long term, need to get it right first time.

I'm in the MH & Tony's camp and don't want change.

Are we just on about out of work managers or ones who are currently in a job?

Managers we could realistically employ, currently in or out of work.

Who would realistically want to come to us now?

I always thought we missed out on Martin O'Neil when we were deep into a dire run under Warnock, he would have been a sound choice and someone who manages to achieve near-instant stability wherever he goes - now whether he would have come to us or not is another thing, but when you look at the out of work managers around now (Guardiola, yeah right..), the most high profile for us would be Redknapp or Benitez, hardly known for their reliability in roles and their successes tend to fluctuate somewhat. I would love us to give a chance to someone like Di Canio who think the players would want to play and win for, but we are in no position to be running a trial and error program and if I dismiss Harry and Rafa, then I'd be a fool to demand someone totally unproven at this level

                    Paul Ince
                    Owen Coyle

                    Both available, neither good enough.

I would love Paulo Di Canio.

I would have thought quite a few would relish the idea of turning the club around, because IMO there is not much wrong apart from MH and his back room boyos,

Would love Rafa, but would not mind Kean as he is a fighter and also a more realistic option because we will probably have to start cutting costs. But please not Harry!!!!!!!!!

If it costs X million to shift Hughes will they be prepared to lump out on buying someone out of a contract when appointing a new manager?

I think what has to be put into the equation when speculating about any new manager is the statement Tony put out that has said there is not going to be any big spending budget available, I think this will make the job less attractive to some would be incumbents.
