he isnt syaing he was the answer.

he is saying we have sold our top scorer and not replaced him.

We've been saddled with some pretty average players for 3 years + on money that they could only have dreamed of - they may go if we agree to pay a % of their salary I suppose (as leeds did back in the mad years due to O'Lairy & Grimsdale's tenure).

IMHO would NOT have Kasper as any makeweight and I would also stick to the max budget we have!!!
Wild spending continuing is only going to trickle down to Us eventually - would you accept JB and another 20% hike in prices?

We're suffering from pi$$ poor planning in last 18 months to 2 years.

Don't get me wrong I hope we get a striker(s) but lets not be mugged off peeps!
Would you accept Jermaine Beckford and another 20% hike in prices?
          Of course. You?

As others have said though, can't imagine any way Gorkss would drop a league, or indeed any of our other three CBs. A deal including Big Pat would be excellent business IMO.

Can I just re-iterate deal is dead like a dodo.

Won't happen. They want 6 million plus. Leeds are a big club and Bates is a good businessman, we have to search elsewhere.

                MADNESS absoloute ****ing MADNESS.

I sometimes worry about our fans I really do.

Cait, you often talk great sense but at this precise moment you are just being v silly. Our desperate need is for a striker. I wd be deveasted to see Gorks go, but given the choice between losing our second best defender and gaining one decent striker, I'm afraid it wd be a no brainer. Hope v much it isn't an either/ or, but if it is, no contest.

So are we getting Beckford or not?
                  West London. Simple.

Well can't say that's a huge surprise. So the search for Gianni's apprentice goes on - but who is left?

Hear hear. As I said on another thread, it was a right choker watching them running up and down the touchline for 90 mins. at Bristol.
I was starting to feel optimistic for this season, but if we have a manager who thinks it's OK to leave them on the bench, I am starting to get VERY CONCERNED.

for gods sake, why would people even contemplate losing Gorkks for bloody beckford LOL
hes a decent striker but he isnt exactly a defoe or rooney.

Gorkks is our main defender and i would rather keep him .

I would buy lee hughes up front.

20 goals i reckon and not lose good players like gorkks for 2nd division strikers
