Don't care whether they are entitled to it, they as individuals have a duty to their clubs/fans, and our club/fans. Think the lifestyle they are very lucky to have and in the case of players in the prem the ridiculous money they get, they should turn out for their teams.

I disagree with this tbh, but I saw far worse on a Spurs forum where fans were whining that he shouldn't be allowed to have been at the birth because it was 'only his girlfriend, and not his wife'.

Not exactly like that but along those lines-I was meant to be godfather to me sisters first child but it fell the day of our play off final.she got a fair bit militant when I didn't turn up and the next time she see me she tried to run me over.

My knowledge is very limited too mate. Personally, I don't think anyone should be entitled to paternity leave, whether they are a footballer or not. I think it's great that some new fathers want to spend the first few days with their children, but just take some holiday. (Not footballers obviously).

Out of interest, what is the self-employed man entitled to?

Quick. Help. I'm turning into vblock.

Us self employed get nothing save ensuring that through our taxes layabouts etc can get a lifetime of paternity.
