I specifically Kept a good eye on him knowing people will say this. Park played well linked up great with the cm's made some brilliant challenges down the right . Kept baines quiet and nearly scored a goal of jajielka didn't slide in . Is park the new swp? Everybody expects a lm or rm to be some attacking monster I know what would have been great having swp/hoilett on the rm today keeping pienaar and baines isolated with the help of bosingwa.

No he hasnt. He was certainly one of our best players in our opening 3 or 4 games - only Reading & Wet Spam he was poor.

Sorry I should have said up until the Readig & Wet Spam games. Since them been poor - although today I think he was OK. No great, but certainly not terrible.

Thought Park was decent enough today.
He might consistently play better if he didn't have the burdon of being captain on his shoulders- it certainly isn't a position that suits him.
We made the decision on captaincy during preseason when the mood of the time was entirely different.
