Hope you're right we do have some very good players when they can be bothered to play

Where we end up depends on who is running the club.

If team Joora remain in charge, we'll struggle to stay up. And that, in a nutshell, is the massive problem Amit & TF have given themselves: if it doesn't work out, and I'm far from convinced that it will, they have to take on Joora to get rid.

His boy Hughes enraged me on r5 post WBA saying we can't afford to make mistakes at the back - which was why we lost. What he didn't say was that he was entirely responsible for this by failing to secure the two players - arguably the only two players - we really needed: a proper, specialist CB and one decent keeper (like C.Schmeichel, who was reportedly looking for an EPL club during the break). Instead we end up with a dog's breakfast of utility players and two questionable keepers, courtesy of...... Mr KJ. There was also an outstanding young Mexican CB - Reyez - looking for an EPL move during the summer, not big bucks, never mind Dawson. Either of them would have been a massive improvement. The right two players were always going to be so much more important than a questionable half dozen. We can not defend and our tactical form (ie Hughes again) is poor. My greatest fear is that the board will bottle it by which time we'll be adrift, with no one keen to board a sinking ship. You didn't have to be a genius to figure out what was going to happen, we were abysmal for long periods last season too.

Youve been watching too many conspiracy theories on TV mate.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

If Hughes was such an inept manager as you make him out to be, how would you explain his leaving Blackburn and Fulham in stronger positions than when he joined them?

              I'll tell you.

I think back then EPL tactics were a lot less up to speed back then - even five years ago you just very seldom saw stuff like three at the back and 4-3-3 variations hadn't been in fashion for a long time. You could get away with 4-4-2 if the front two had a bit of pace about them. Five years ago 4-4-2 and 4-5-1 ruled. Play 4-4-2 without pace and poor defenders = disaster.

Even if you're right, I don't like watching the football his teams play. I'd sooner have Olly frankly although out of ex managers Dowie would be my choice. TV is getting on a bit. ;)

Well Hughes led Fulham to 8th and that was only last year. But fair enough if he's not your cup of tea.

Dowie?!?! Where to even start with a call like that...

As for your suggestions about the transfer window. How have we ended up with 2 duff keepers? Last time I checked we had a world class keeper at number 1 and the England number 2 in reserve- all for nothing!! Not bad IMO. To say you would rather have Kasper Schmeichel over those 2 is mental.

I agree we needed a CB and by the looks of the Dawson/Carvalho talks we were trying, but it didn't come off. Don't know who the Reyez bloke is you mentioned, but I hardly think a young and unproven CB with no Prem experience would help.

Did you ever meet TheHitman? You and him would have a field day tearing apart our current and former manager...

Thers two types of finishing 15th. Type 1 is finishing 15th 10-15 points clear of relegation zone and in no dangers of going down. Type 2 is finishing 15th 2-3 points above relegation zone and scrapping it out again on the last weekends of the season.

We was told by Hughes and Beard Type 2 is not acceptable given the level of investment and was boldly told this would never be the case again.

nearly every side will have a bad run. I prefer to look at this as QPR's one which will soon come to an end with a few back to back wins.

If we get to 10-12 games and are still rooted in the bottom 3 then I will begin to worry about whether QPR will finish 15.

What a load of rubbish. You speak as if you know everything that's happened backstage. How do you know Reyes would have been the right player for us? Two questionable keepers...? Julio Cesar ain't good enough for your high and mighty QPR... yea ok, we should put you in charge. "You clearly know a lot more than the professionals."

Only just got back to this. I didn't say Reyez was the only solution, I mentioned Dawson. The point I was trying to makes is that Hughes avoided specialist position defenders and ended up with utility players.

Nothing to do with knowing more than the professionals. Pros, ams and fans alike all knew we desperately needed a decent, specialist CB - people have been pointing it out on here and elsewhere for months. Hughes or Amit even flagged it up as something we were after. Regarding the keepers, I don't think either was an inspired buy, and I strongly suspect Jullio came here because of connections with Hughes' agent. I think that happened because MH was unconvinced by his recent purchase of RG, that's why Juilo got the nod on the first team sheet.

I wish it was rubbish, I really do.

I would be thrilled with 15th at this rate.

Cannot believe it was only a matter of months ago we were beating Tottenham, Arsenal etc.

Then I'l help you. He is the QPR manager with the highest win percentage, period. This was at a time of relative instability and not a vast poole of resources.
Why did I suggest him? Because he is one of the few people who would take the job when we're adrift and heading down. It's all very well people bandying about star names but if the board are paralysed by the Hughes contract and take too long, people aren't going to beating the door down to come here. Let's face it, that is a real possibility. If we end up there, who do you suggest? Realistically?
