Clint plays for the team. He can't play LB. Hughes was totally at fault for playing him when Traore was available. Ferdinand was nowhere for the first goal and handed them the second. He's the embarrassment. Of our CBs Nelsen and Hill were solid at Spurs. Has Hughes played them again? Has he fck..... Hughes doesn't know what he's doing.

Agree with that. He's still shiite though & not good enough but as you say he doesn't pick the team.

In my opinion, it's simply like this....

Clint Hill is not a full back. & agree, poor etc etc

But a football manager chooses who plays and where. Was his hand forces as Onuhua looked very uncomfortable? Traore not fully match fit to start?

Regardelss, the mananger picks the team to play (and where).

Surely the buck stops with him?

A back four of Bosingwa Nelsen Hill Traore was available to Hughes.... He chose not to play it. Against Reading he substituted Dyer at RB with Nelsen; put Nelsen CB; moved Clint from CB to LB; Onouha from LB to RB, so changing three of the back four unnecessarily. He hasn't a clue.

Wow opinions on here change very quickly. Last season he was our best player! Now he's a 'Championship player'.He is a natural Centre half not a fullback, that's why he's not been doing well recently, it's because he's being played at leftback.

We have no idea whether Traore was ready to play from the start. I'm sure Hughes considers him ahead of Hill in the pecking order, but the guy is just coming back from an injury after all.

Totally agree about his natural position, picks the team etc etc but it doesn't take away from the fact he as a player is extremley poor. Got raped against west ham & same again today. If traore was fit for bench he should of started otherwise should be at home. Dyer got brought on at spurs after 3 mins, could of been same today for traore so if on bench you have to be ready.

Well said. Respectfully, the title of the thread ought be changed. Hill'd play up front if asked to. Hughes is EMBARRASING. And Ferdinand and SWP too.
