As for stating his achievements, that is pointless, because anyone with half a brain knows that there is no correlation between what you have achieved as a player and having good knowledge about the game. Otherwise, good players would make good managers, and rubbish "players" (like Mourinho and AVB) would never be good managers. But that's ok, you keep listening to his analysis and getting awed by it

Gary Neville has got a UEFA A coaching licence. That tells me he knows his stuff. Good player and I would guess a good coach too. Stacks of medals and the top coaching licence. Good enough for me.

He was at fault for the second goal against West Ham, but people should remember that he's pulled off some amazing saves that most keepers wouldn't make. He's also got a crap defence playing in front of him, plus the fact he has just started learning English, and communication between the defence and the goalkeeper matters a lot. In time, all will improve
