They have always been slow starters as Hughes has always done a massive over haul in players. We will start very slow this season but next season will be completely different as we will only being buying a couple players to add to the already gelled team.

Im not anticipating anymore than 1 point tops from the next 2 games, so for me we need to hit abit of form from the Wet Spam game on wards. I know it'll be very early doors still, but we dont want to be lingering at the bottom.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

This. But Hughes is notorious for slow starts, but also for effective teams when they hit their stride.

We have 5 year old fan syndrome, no matter who is in charge they'd want AN Other in the dugout.

If we had Guardiola, and he was struggling to get the team to gel they'd dig him out. Well, he had fooking Messi, Xavi and Iniesta din't he, got found out in a proper league. What a clown!!!

i think getting the first win of the season will be a relief. Looking at the fixtures for me, it was always going to be a tough start. First game of the season is tough whoever you play, and City, Chelsea and Spurs ar tough games whoever you are. On paper, I think we are a great side, and some of the football we played yesterday after we got going was fantastic in my opinion, when you consider a lof of the players are still gelling. Granero and Faurlin looked excellent in the middle, and I thought Park was superb out wide, and SWP looked much more like the player he can be. The defence looked a lot better, and I thought Fabio was much improved. Bosingwa and Nelsen looked great but the weak link was Anton, which I assume Mbia will come in to improve. The signs of a quality side are there, but this might take some time to pick up points. I just hope we take advantage of the "winnable" games unlike last year, as we wont want to be in a fight like that again. Every team is good in this division

                        Slow starter? Tough start?

The very fact that people are already having to make excuses tells me that at heart they know there is a real problem at the club. It's just a case of how long. That might be contract dependent.

                          What's the solution?

Do you want Hughes sacked after 3 games, and a dozen new players?
