Pete I think this ignores that decent strikers create chances themselves. Look at Drogba today, scored two goals, both out of nothing. Or Ched Evans - made the chance entirely himself. Fact is in the league we average a goal a game, same as last season, the only difference is our defence doesn't look quite as tight. Agree its v early but I am bemused by the view that strikers who failed to do the business last season will suddenly come good this year.

Well Helguson scored today and Vine missed one opportunity. Cannot see how a striker would have changed the game today.
