I'm going to assume sarcasm here.

But just in case, which Joey Barton are you taking about, because I don't think it was the one we saw last season at QPR?

He began the season very badly but towards the end he was playing well. Playing CM is hard because most of your work goes unnoticed. And you're never going to be featured in highlight packages on MOTD unless you've made some massive balls-up.

True Joey isn't among the best in the world in his position but he's very good. And despite the Newcastle tweet he does seem to care about QPR in a way that other players don't. The only problem as far as I see it is the strong possibility that other players dislike him.

Faurlin plays CM and I damn sure know how good he is.

Barton certainly improved after he was humiliated by the fans in a high profile live game, but even then he was certainly no more than an average to decent Prem midfielder.

We aren't going to see him before January if at all, so it's probably not worth anyone pinning their hopes on him.
