the second time they hit the bar, resulted from a terrible punch out from him. he didnt look very good but plenty of time to improve

He's never really recovered from that b*lls up for England when he let a tame shot along the ground slip through his fingers.W.Ham fans will have it that he flaps at high crosses, but otherwise OK.I reckon his entire game is dodgy. No confidence in him at all.Said this before a ball was kicked today. How he was the No.2 during the Euros I'll never know.Come back Paddy all is forgiven.Or Vorm or the Wigan ? goalie.

He has a helluva job on his hands now imo and he's got to convince us, i would like to see another keeper cause i don't think thats his last mistake and then things will get bad, but i don't really trust our 2 reserves either

                Rob Green

Horrible performance by the entire back 5 yesterday.
Seems to me though that Rob Green is getting most of the flack for the goals yesterday though, not just on here but everywhere else. Personally, i think Green was totally at fault for one of the five goals, not all of them.
First goal, his fault, should've had that all day long.
Second, third and fourth goals were the defences fault. Dyer and Michu should never have been allowed to get in one on one with green so easily. I don't think green had much chance with any of them.
Fifth goal, ok perhaps Green could have done better with it and at least got a hand to it. But how much time and space did Sinclair have to get the shot off?? The defence didn't even attempt to close him down. And he got the scoring opportunity because of Onuoha's abysmal clearance.

I'm no fan of Rob Green, didn't want him in the first place, but I'm not willing to write him off after just one competitive game.

To be fair, I think people are judging Green over his entire career and not just yesterday.

Flapped at the corner when they hit the bar for the second time. Silly mistakes in pre season. I don't think it's a case of writing him off, its just people stating what they see and what we've seen hasn't been good enough. Hopefully he can take the criticism on the chin and improve.

He's been abit dodgy through his whole career, always prone to mistakes. But let's get behind him as we're stuck with him

Was always nervous any time swansea got anywhere near our goal, if we as fans suffer from that what most it be like to play in front of him.

Green is not the goalkeeper we need. He`s an accident waiting to happen. Truth is that we have a worse no 1 this year compared to last year.

Posted before yesterdays debacle. Ric - people have supported him in the past, and he's still been vulnerable. It's pointless pretending.
