Barton to train with Fleetwood Town

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton is set to train with League Two side Fleetwood Town.
The controversial midfielder will begin a 12-game ban for Rangers when the new Premier League campaign begins following his sending off against Manchester City at the end of last season.

I think there's more chance of him joining Fleetwood Mac TBH.

Surely if he was to be loaned out to reduce the timespan of the ban then it would be at a local club. Woking for example.

Then again...... if he has been told he can go.........

Considering it's not too far from where he is from, I don't see it as that hard to believe.

Yes, but his family are from that neck of the woods. And remember his infamous night out was Garland's in Liverpool.

why would he go to league two to get match fitness when he can go to championship? He would be much better prepared to play for us if he plays in championship. If that story about Fleetwood is even true

It appears it is true about training with them but it's only for one week?
