As Sparky has been playing a 4-3-3 at times, he probably wants to have another CM. We're going to have some real strength in depth. More than at any time I've been watching the club.

Only started watching when we got relegated from the Prem, but for older fans is this squad stronger than the one that got 8th place in the PL?

Don't need him? I don't think Sparky thinks that way, nothing wrong with a good squad, with plenty of depth, and i hope Joey does put on a QPR shirt again too.

Not at all. W12 seems to be a better place without JB and if Mark Hughes really wanted him, he would be in Indonesia with the rest of the team bonding for the season ahead. Funny how they found room for Keiran Dyer (who wont play either) but no our highest paid player.

JB played his part in keeping us up and if he does get to play a part in the coming season, I will be behind him 100% (I love the way two people near me have a hissey fit when he does somethig wrong), I just think we are in a better place without him and in January, if it was a choice between Diakite or Barton, Faurlin or Bartin or Ki or Barton to play CM, he would loose all three.

this may come as a surprise to paul, but i agree with every word of that.

More agreement here. Joey Barton, his reputation, and his twitter outbursts are not a good fit for a club growing it's profile on a global scale at present.

              Absolutely spot on.
If he plays then I'll back him but I do feel it's time for him to move on.

He is actually cool, scoring one and assisting one against Senegal who beat Spain in a formal match by 2-0, and even previously he assisted one against New Zealand.

Keep making points, he will be the most completed replacement for Barton as he is loaned out. Ki, already, is prepared for anything as he has been training for over a month, honing his long passing, zero-spin shots, freekick takes, corner kick takes....

and the last reason we will be happy if we have him: He is either footed, 23 years old yet experienced World cup 2010 against Argentina(Messi, Aguero,Higuain, Tevez were in), Spain best 11(2010, 2012 b4 big cups), Greece 11, Germany 11, Uruguay 11 etc......................

its like 27 years old player's experience is all within Ki, he is only 23!!!!!
I totally agree, he's been good in both of them friendlys, he keeps it simple all the time which I like & his long passers are just so & his goal was great as well against Senagal & his assist against New Zealand was out of this world, plus he's only 23!. Also like the Taarabt videos you get online of everything Adel does good or bad you will get with Ki which I really like

I really think he's an unpolished gem and be QPR's Alonso, only thing i'm not sure about is his tackling.

One more thing, imo none of our current players can take a good corner or freekick, Ki can

                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

I know I said i'm not too keen on his defending but does anyone remember when Liverpool had Sissoko & Alonso in a 4-2-3-1 DM slots? That was just the best Liverpool have been in years. Diakite & Ki could be amazing

Haha J.S. Park will teach him how to tackle xD.

We all know Park is one of the best tacklers in the world.

Agreed on all counts. I don't think Barton is the type of player Hughes wants. His management style seems to be all about professionalism, a trait Barton has never seemed to have had much of a grip on.

Have you seen Diakite tackle? He's amazing. As for Park i've never followed him too closely before so I didn't know that, i've always admired him though. Great work rate & always scores big goals....... most of them against Arsenal!

Diakite is gr8 tackler. but there is a difference between Park's and Diakite's

Park's main weapons are sliding tackle, chasing down tackle, with 97% accuracy according to the 2012 FIFA ONLINE's Research on player's profile.

Diakite, I havent seen him playing often, but I think he is well balanced in terms of the variety of tackling skills, defending skills.

Park likes to chase and splint, then steal the ball from a player, whereas Diakite, he waits patiently for his perfect timing to tackle, or steal the ball, then he quickly send the ball flying to his teamates so that the overall pace can be maintained.

I personally value Diakite more than Park, aside from my personal feelings as a Korean.

He really is fantastic player. I hope Ki and Diakite learn from each other, assuming Ki is signing us.

Isn't Ki about 5-6 inches taller than Park? I don't think you can expect him ever to be such a master tackler as Park is. If anyone thinks Ki is expensive should seriously take a good look at C Y Lee of now relegated Bolton. Now there is a real bargain.

I Would really have wanted us to sign him up. I think he will be a very good player. Their young Japanese striker as well. The latter more for the future, though.

Had it not been for that crazy overly ambitious piece of shiiit tackle which broke Lee's shin bone in half a year ago? his price tag right now could be anywhere from 10-20 mil depending on who's buying. But now you could probably get him for a fraction of that. What a turn
