Firstly we already have a better striker than him in Cisse.... yes different types obviously, but i certainly know who i'd rather have.

Secondly, even though i'm certian there's zero interest in him anyway, even if there was he wouldn;t be a realistic target because his wages must be ludicrous. Basically when Liverpool agreed the insane fee of £35m with Newcastle they effectively said to his agent we want him at any cost, at which point, if he didn't secure obscene £100k+ / wk wages, he's not a very good agent.....

I don't think anyone is suggesting he is better than Cisse.

If Hughes had talks with Giroud then we know for sure he's not afraid to upgrade whenever the opportunity arises. Even if Zamora's only been here 6 months.

Is Carroll an upgrade on Zamora? Debatable because it depends on how we want the team to play. Even as target men they have very different skill sets. Carroll can't hold up the ball and play possession as well as Bobby can otherwise he wouldn't be out the door at Liverpool. On the other hand Carroll is by far the more fearsome as a battering ram attacking the ball. He'd certainly be suited to playing under Big Sam.
