i think Bobby is better than him, he was surrounded by £100,000,000 worth of talent, and couldn't buy a goal. BZ played a major part in our survival without him we would not have beaten Arsenal etc realy good presence up front

Matter of opinions then - I would say Carroll is a better player. Zammo had a few decent games, no outstanding ones IMHO last season and in many games everything bounced off him.

yeah fair enough silver agree, see i saw some balls not stick fair enough but that was also the case with alot of players from other teams.Spose i'm trying to say longwindedly is BZ was no worse than others, and i saw him produce some deft footwork & ball control on a couple of occaisions

I'd like a lot of players here, including Messi if truth be known but i won't be starting a thread on it.

Rodgers clearly doesn't see Carroll fitting in with his style of play, I imagine he'd loan him out so he can get a better fee for him in the long term.

There's sure to be a lot of interest in him, but why not us? I could see Mark getting the best out of him. So what if we don't grab him long term? Consolidating Premier League status and improving our reputation is what next season is all about. I could see him fitting in with us, very, very well.

Although I could see Martin O'Neill taking him to Sunderland next season, especially if Bendtner doesn't decide to stay.

Are u mental? Carroll is a Geordie thru and thru he will never go to Sunderland

That's just not as much of a factor these days, Carroll is no more of a Geordie than Lee Clark who also played for the Mackems.

Or Alan Smith going from Leeds to Man U biggest example of a die hard going to big rivals. Honestly, fans care more about this stuff than players.

Why do people continue to buy into the myth that Andy Carroll is such a good player??? He's decent, nothing more, certainly not great. Just because some dozy Scottish Scouser thought it prudent to waste £35m on him after barely proving himself many started to believe the hype....

                            Facts:

When Newcastle ran away with the Championship he only scored 17 league goals
In the prem the following season he started well enough, but nothing to warrent a £35m fee a few months later
For Liverpool he has for 95% of his time there been pitifully average
At the end of the season he's had literally a few good performances and got in the Euro squad on the back of it and did ok.

He needs to do a lot more, and consistently, to be classed a top player in my book. There are plenty of better strikers in the league than him.

I think people know there are plenty of better strikers than him, but the best go to the best clubs, so they are not realistic targets for us. Andy is better than Zammo IMO but I don't think he will be a QPR player at all.
