Your also have to realise that having an overtly QPR-related name would have a negative impact on the venue's use for other things.
I know we'd all like to go to a gig in the Alan McDonald club at the Rangers Stadium, but fans of other teams/non-footy fans would be at best ambivalent and at worst hostile. Would you want to go to the O2 if it were called the Addicks arena and you constantly felt like you were putting money into Charlton's pockets?Comment

A better example might be Chelsea. Imagine if the Battersea Power Station project had gone ahead, including some sort of entertainment arena. Would you rather go to a gig at 'Chelsea FC Stadium' or the Samsung Arena?Comment
