New Centre Back??

All this talk about us needing a new CB, and links with Samba, among others, how about Steven Caulker the Spurs CB who was on loan at Swansea, I think he would be a great signing, 20 years old 6ft 3, been a rock in that Swansea defence, any thoughts?

Forget goal keepers, forwards and everything else, unless the CB problem gets sorted we'll struggle. No.1 priority. Caulker would have been an excellent signing. Meanwhile Swansea have landed themselves with Michael Laudrup....

Surely we can look at leagues in Scandinavia or eastern Europe identify the best available centre half and bring them to LR

A real gem must be out there , really need to be looking further afield than the PL, I trust Hughes to pull something out of the hat like Diakite

Well out of our league, but on the subject of CBs, how good is that Mat Hummels for ze Germans? Unbelievable player. Just saw a stat that he has won 100% of his tackles so far in the tournament and hasnt commited a single foul. Also scored 11 in 94 league games for Dortmund and is 23 years old. Surely gunna be snapped up by a top top side after this comp?

i think that might well happen MH and his scouts/backroom team seem to have contacts worldwide, would be nice to unearth a couple of real cheap gems

They have a helluva side there young as well, how can't our players play like them? Do like the German names and every now and then they produce a beauty there was ####z, and now they've just brought on Bender!!
