Even Gordon Taylor who is Chairman of the Players Association and who has defended the indefensible conduct of Barton on numerous previous occasions was unable to defend him this time. His problem is that Barton shows no remorse and has no desire to mend his ways. Taylor says he (Barton) point blank refuses to accept that he has any issues and declined any invitation to enroll in sporting chance rehabilitation.

mark saggers is a t*sser has mentioned twice that i've heard that QPR maybe should be docked points, won't listen to anyone who wants to compare the leniency terry seems to be getting compared to joey, calling on the club to get rid whatever it costs, and thinks the only reason we ain't dumped him is because we're worried someone else will come in and pick up a bargain.Hammering us for that as well sh*tbag

Good point if that slug taylor stopped threatening strikes all the time and agreed a sliding scale on fines dependent on what you earn some of these players would soon stop diving and cheating, and fighting

Whether handbags or not it was violent conduct, you cant kick out at someone or threaten someone with a flick of your head, he got red carded vs Norwich for a flick of the head. Lengthy ban or a heavy fine wouldn't bother him.

Taylor's comments relate to previous episodes regarding Barton - you know, that moment of madness when he ruined the future career of a young youth teamer.

If only that lad Dabo hadn't reacted as he did Joey wouldn't have got done for that either.
He's done time for assault and affray, has a suspended sentence for assault causing abh. Not to mention that cigar stubbing episode with Tandi!

All mere moments of madness which caused Taylor to offer him help, which he refused because he doesn't have any problems.

If you think the reaction to his actions warrants a suggestion that football has become a nancy's game I am lost for words.

Don Revies Leeds team was tough and probably stretched the art of aggression to its limit but Barton wouldn't even have fitted in there.

12 games seems over the top to me. Hasnt done anything that outrageous in my opinion and noone got hurt.

Your right it is a mans game, if you see the tackles that fly in, sometimes the impacts are quite frighting , you do have to be strong to play the professional game , but you don't want it turned into a pub game on a sunday, professionals should act that way.
