Gomes may not be a safe pair of hands, but Gomes does do the most amazing world class saves. Some saves he does, in your mind you think it's going in & then he'll pull of a top top save.

Could do better, but could do alot worse, i'd be happy with Gomes

No chance of Newcastle being after a new number 1, Krul was quality this season!

Robinson would be the best keeper we could realsitically get, he had a great season and he's in the Championship next season without a move!

Few harsh comments on here but personally think Gomes will be a big big signing for us should it happen.

Yea he's dropped clangers but after originally looking a dead cert to be bombed by Harry Redknapp he turned in some outstanding performances & that convinced Harry to keep him. Injury knocked him back a bit but a big athletic keeper with good pedigree.

Its a plus for me.

Gomes would be a class signing! We forget who we are sometimes! Yes he has has some changers but he's had for more world class save them changers problem is in this country we seem to remember and dwell on people bad points rather than their good!
The year before last when he was spurs no 1 he was aactually statistically the second best keeper in prem behind reina!
What's wrong with a international goalkeeper who has champions league experience - give him a run of games and confidence and he knows he's our no1 he will or would be a massive signing for us!
I feel some of our fans are deluded woth expectations of who we should get!
