    Blackburn

How they must feel,if we are 90% certain to go down they are 99%.So much for Kean thinking 7 points would be enough, even if they win all 4 remaining games they could stiil go down,so as bad as things are for us,Blackburn are worse once, scant consolation I know!

90% likely? Think thats just a reflection of your depression, not the actual position. The bookies seem to put it at about 50-50 and I think that's far more realistic.

50-50??? and bolton have 2 games in hand and an easier run in.....your calculations are out a touch with reality. not saying its over but not as easy as your making out.

Yep, and so far this season their matches have yielded slightly less than a point a game, so if past form means anything they won't be ahead of us after those two games. Sure, they might win them both 6-0, the optimists can be no more sure than the doom mongers, its all guess work. But educated guess work - and bookies are pretty good at that - suggests that the situation is still more open than you admit.

And by the way, if anyone was mad enough to offer you odds of 9-1 on us staying up my advice wd bite their hands off...

I don't know mate, no one does, that's why I think its wrong to write us off (just as it wd be crazy to assume we are safe, tho' I don't think even the wildest optimist wd do that). But for what my prediction skills are worth (not much) I think six points is possible and four points is pretty likely.

4 pts could keep us up. i see bolton getting 3 draws from their remaining games.

Agree with you - particularly with our superior goal difference. My hunch - and it is purely that - is that we will go into the last game at Man City needing to avoid a tonking. In other words a defeat might be OK as long as its not so big that it decimates our goal difference advantage.

If we are going down the rose tinted glasses road we could say that we could lose all our matches and still stay up?

If we get 4 points from our last 4 games. 1 vs Spurs and 3 vs Stoke. Bolton would need to get 7 points from their last 6 to over take us. its going down to goal diference folks!

If we're going into the game at City safe once we don't get hammered I will take that scenario right now. In fact even if we have to get a draw there to survive I would take it right now. I fear it may well be all over by that stage, and I'm not wearing glasses of any type, can't find the ****ing things!
