It's unbelievable, why people get so wound up about something like this I'll never know.

In future we'll just sign young players who have already scored 70 senior goals, won the Champions League and have absolutely no family ties to the club, in order to keep people happy.

Let's see how he turns out, don't expect it'll make a huge dent in the wages, some players take longer to make the grade, he won't exactly be on the bench on sunday.

If this was Briatore last year announcing he was taking 20K out of the club coffers to install a new chandelier in the exec box people would be irritated. So what's the difference here?

No one is saying it's a massive big deal that threatens the club's existence, it's just really shoddy stuff is all. The money should come out of Kevin Hitchcock's wages if he wants to use the club as a daycare centre.

Being a bit harsh Rsonist, comparing the lad to chandelier, i like to think he'd be bit more use than a lightshade on the pitch, and if he is any good his value will appreciate. Not sure he'd be on anywhere near £20,000 btw.

He's hardly young and a talent though is he?

If he was 16 fair enough but at 19 his 'potential' would have been noticed by now. Also League Two is near enough Sunday League standard nowadays so if you can't do well in that league quite how he's expected to achieve anything at a Premiership club i don't know! Also the fact his old club released him prior to his contract ending says quite a lot.

The lad also needs to take a look at himself, choosing a youth team role over first team football in League One, maybe the money being paid isn't so small after all?

Hopefully his salary can be paid with Cisse's fine.
