"an averaage pipe smoking session of an hour" is where it's passed around for an hour...essentially, it's like one huge cigarette/cigar, that's constantly lit and you smoke it. over an hour, one person at a table of about 5 to 10 people would smoke for a total of around 10mins.
so yes, maybe like 200 cigarettes, but not smoked by the same person, nor smoked consistently.

i, however, don't think the stuff is as "safe" as people say and it is def bad for your health.

i think the stat they are showing is if shisha was smoked continuously for an hour...which it isn't. it's smoked at intermittent times within the hour, so the real life figure is a lot less than 200.
