This story was on radio a couple of weeks and i have not seen or heard any denials since.I believe it is quite likely to be true as it would hardly have been a good selling point to say our fabulous mega stars,by the way it will be pay cuts all round if we get relegated.
I worry that TF is just another business man who once they take control of a football lose all sense of reason and logic and would struggle to run a charity shop.

I would say this story has been set up by the media to encourage the response from the club to defend themselves. Moon safari has already made one valid response. Didn't Traore not say last week we have pay cut clauses in contracts and finally what are the parachute payments for!!!!

I really hope its not true, and Rangers didn't entice such players to the club by ignoring wage deferrals if relegated. To many chase the dream and fall flat on there face, you would hope players would have the decency to help there club in need but im afraid that wont happen.

The end of the article indicates the West Ham did the same thing and they will possibly win the Championship this season.

Paycuts would be no incentive for the players to stay should we go down.

The only industry where failure is rewarded with ££$$ , managers fail and get a large pay off, players get a club relegated and expect top flight wages in second tier football.

I wouldn't be so sure. The story of every club in financial difficulty is littered with "of course they wouldn't have..." assumptions.

I do have faith that TF, Beard etc are competent in their jobs but you have to admit that it is plausible that the big name mercenaries we've signed may have baulked at any mention of contractual wage reduction. How many times have we heard about our signings needing a bit of "persuasion" to come to Loftus Rd? Persuasion only means one thing in football.

In addition, not every disastrous club owner has been a "bad guy" so to speak. Mark Goldberg was a Palace fan, wanted the best for his club, and just got far too carried away with it all.

Having said all that however, any lack of wage reduction wouldn't necessarily lead to "meltdown", and this is where the media may be exaggerating. The planning for the new training ground and (eventually) stadium would strongly suggest there is still sizeable financial backing to hand, and of course there are still those lovely unfair parachute payments.
