Sorry but where I come from that is how people talk to each other. I'm not trying to justify it to anyone. I get called a wonker on a daily basis by people amongst other things. Who cares? And just in case you were wondering I'm a life long Labour supporter, but I talk how I talk within reason...

Sorry, but why would i care what political bent you take? i don't take people on who they vote for, what religion or colour they are or even what football club they support. What i judge people on are the ways they conduct themselves and the way they treat others.
And because that's how people talk to each other from "where your from" it makes it right? Do you not think for yourself and say i wonder if that's the right thing to do? Nope, just following sir - it's what we do "where i come from" - not allowed to think for myself.
However, it's nice to know that apparently you have some boundaries - just not sure what your idea of "within reason" is.

A slight irony is that when I was at school calling someone a Joey was an insult. Those old enough to remember will understand what that was all about.

So, Joey calls someone a ####. I wonder why he didn't call them a "Joey"?

I know what you are talking about silver.I will say though to say it was an insult
is probably too strong, me and my mates used to use it as a mocking term
if someone f**cked something up, or couldn't say a word or something, but all amongst ourselves and peers.
We did actually have a disabled lad in our class and wouldn't dream of using the term towards him, can actually remember a few of us giving some little t**ts a year under us a smack for taking the p out of the lad.

Calling someone a #### is offensive

you can argue its not a shooting offense these days but its patently wrong

for the QPR captain to call someone a #### on a public forum especially given that QPR itself is to be applauded for the efforts put in to assist kids effected by Down Syndrome is very very wrong and makes him look a complete burke
