hill is a better defender than traore and seeing as we can't stop shipping goals thats whar we should concentrate on.

Disagree. Traore wasn't at fault for any of the goals and his distribution, dribbling, crossing and overall skill level are PL standard, unlike Hill.

Committed yes, cent header of the ball yes but no pace and offers nothing going forward. Sorry but football has moved on from smash them boys. Good servant and decent player to have around the dressing room and on the bench as he can play a couple of positions but better than Traore or Tawio please.

Fight is whats needed, true enough, but in the PL you also need skill, ability and guile to be able to play your way out of trouble - all qualities which Clint falls short of at this level, ATAF.

So in god knows how many appearances that is his total attacking contribution.

Traore has created numerous opportunities including yesterday. Tawio has played three times set up Mackies first yesterday and the go against Villa.

Well, I noticed that they did laugh.


Not an easy pick for Hughes this one. I dunno what he expected from Taiwo really. But as I see it; Hill´s routine and last ditch tacles could make a difference in a defence shattered for confidence and cohesion and lift the spirit in the team as a whole.

Like I say, he wasn't at fault for any of the goals, unlike Hall and Kenny.

How many times have we had to endure Hill aimlessly hoofing the ball forward only to immediately concede possession, something you simply can't afford to do at this level. What use is it being a good defender if you have poor distribution or lack the skill and ability to play your way out of trouble? Traore doesn't have that weakness.
