Do you seriously believe we spent £3.5m on Faurlin???? If you include his salary, signing on fee, agents fees etc, but there's no way we spent that money for his transfer alone.

Probably not but many clubs do the same.

My main point is that if we were splashing the cash then a forward should of been top of the list.

With a quality finisher at the club we would not be far away

how DB even manged to score last last season was a miracle in itself considering the supply from midfield into the the "danger area" was non-existent. that's where our problem was, this year it should be sorted, so not too fussed about "proven strikers".
